Announcements for the week of March 9

Musical May Meeting
We are planning to make our May Family Gathering on May 4th a music night. What does this mean for you? If you sing or play an instrument and you would like to share your talents with the church family, it means you need to start planning now! If you have an interest in being a part of this service, please contact Ben Whipple at ben@ksbc.net or 448-1620.

Power Up Your Bible Study Time

Starting March 19th, there will be a seven week series designed to help build up your personal Bible study time. Different methods of Bible study will be explored and modeled, allowing you to gain a deeper understanding of God’s Word. Join us for this study and for prayer on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 PM in the sanctuary.

Fellowship & Hospitality Ministry Opportunity
The KSBC Fellowship and Hospitality Ministry team plans and organizes church fellowships and provides meals when needed (e.g. funerals). There will be an organizational meeting on March 30th, right after the 10:45 service in room 110 for all who want to be part of this ministry or learn more about it.

Twin Lakes Camp
Information about Twin Lakes Camp is available! Pick up a brochure at the Welcome Desk, and talk to your Sunday School teacher about how you can earn a scholarship from KSBC for camp! A $10 prepayment discount is available through the camp for campers whose fees are paid in full by April 1st.

Softball Team Sign-up
Do you love representing Christ, building relationships, and swinging at slow pitches? Then you should join one of our softball teams! KSBC will be putting together two teams: a men’s team (more competitive) in a local church league and a co-ed team (just for fun) in the West Lafayette city league. There will be a sign-up sheet with more information available at the Welcome Center. Each team has limited space, so sign up soon! The last date to sign up is March 23rd. If there is enough interest, we will consider forming another team.

“Let the Word of Christ Dwell Richly”
Ladies, join us for a seven week Bible study on Colossians. We will meet on Wednesdays in room 206 from 6:30-7:30 PM beginning March 19th, with childcare provided. Be sure to sign up at the Welcome Desk and pick up your copy of the study guide.

Weekend to Remember
The Indianapolis “Weekend to Remember” will be held at the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown on May 2nd-4th, 2008. Registration is $129 per person. Save $80 per couple by using our group code 15576. Register by calling 1-800-FLTODAY. For more information, check out the website at www.familylife.com/weekend or pick up a pamphlet at the Welcome Center.

Good Friday Service
Join us at 7:00 PM on Friday, March 21st for our Good Friday Service. We will be focusing on the cross and preparing for Easter.

Teach Children About God

The Indiana Development Training Center is a school for children with developmental delays and special needs. They are looking for someone to come a couple times a month for an hour to do basic religious training. What a wonderful opportunity to teach these children about God! Most teaching is on the elementary level and KSBC is willing to provide teaching material. Contact Pastor Tim Depue to learn more: tdepue@ksbc.net or 448-1620.

Washington DC Trip

As part of the KSBC outreach to internationals, a group of around 20 international students and scholars are visiting Washington, D.C. area this week. Please pray for safety as they travel and that many lasting and deep friendships would be built as a result of traveling many miles together.
