Announcements for the week of September 23

Intro to Kossuth Class
The Intro to Kossuth class continues this morning at 9:30 AM in the Conference Room. It will meet with Pastor Whipple for the next three Sundays—September 23rd, 30th, and October 7th.

Attention College Students

You are invited to Marty and Brenda Dittmar’s house for a supper tonight at 6 PM. There will be transportation from the Promise Place at 5:45 PM. Come and enjoy the goodness of God and the fellowship of great brothers and sisters in Christ. If you need directions, contact Marty Dittmar.

Youth Fry Night
Attention High School and Middle School youth! Our annual Fry Night is this Saturday, Sept. 29th! Join us at the Lehe farm as we fry, well, lots of stuff! There will be a van departing KSBC and another from the West Side Walmart at 4:00 PM. Vans will return to KSBC/Walmart with kids for parent pick up at 10:30 PM. Contact Jesse Magnuson with questions, and bring friends to this fun fall event!

Congratulations!

Last week Pastor Don Whipple successfully defended his doctoral project and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Chicago. Congratulations to Dr. Pastor Whipple, and to Sue. We rejoice with you!

Reliable Men
Join us on at 6:30 AM on Saturday in the Ministry Center for a hearty breakfast, teaching and accountability with other men. If you have any questions about this ministry, contact Darrin or the church office.

New Directory is on the Way!
The office staff is pulling things together to publish our new directory by the end of October. If you were not in the directory last year and want to be this year, please contact the office at 448-1620 or ksbc@ksbc.net.

Missions Emphasis Month
Next month will be special as we experience another “missions emphasis month” at Kossuth. We will be hosting Bethesda Outreach Ministries board members; Dr. Jim Jeffery, president of Baptist Bible College at Clark Summit, PA; and the Freeze family, missionaries to Cambodia that we support. The Bethesda board members will be in Indiana from Oct. 13-24th, and will be staying in Lafayette for varying periods of time. We would like to provide them with a home base for their visit. Some meals and transportation is required of hosts, in addition to lodging. If you have a room to spare and are interested in one of the varied hosting opportunities the missions emphasis next month provides, please contact the church office, 448-1620.

Volunteers Needed
Be a kid again-for a night, anyway! The youth team needs some help at Fry Night this Saturday from 4-10 PM. All that is required is to come, play, eat, and hang out with teens. And maybe prevent fires. Contact Jesse Magnuson jmagnuson@ksbc.net if interested.

Revive and Survive Program – Volunteers Needed
KSBC has been approved to receive three automated external defibrillators (AED’s) through the Revive and Survive program at Greater Lafayette Health Services. We have four more vouchers for free training! If you are interested in taking a Heartsaver AED course for free through the Kathryn Weil Center for Education, please contact Sally Casey.
