Announcements for the week of July 29

Come back to Prayer Meeting!
Do you need some encouragement to share your faith? Would you like to connect with other believers in fervent prayer seeking God’s power in your life and relationships? Come back to prayer meeting this Wednesday evening at 6:30 PM. For the next few Wednesday evenings Paul Briggs and Dana Gottfried will be leading us in study and prayer to encourage greater compassion and effort in building relationships to share the good news of Jesus Christ. What a great reason to come back.

Meals for Incoming Missions Team
Thank you to all who signed up to provide meals for the missions team coming the week of August 5th- 12th. We have one last meal to fill – the lunch after church on the 12th for about 70 people. If your ABF or small group is willing to provide this, please let Dana Gottfried know (743-1466).

Newton Love Offering
In thanksgiving to God for the Newtons and their loving pastoral ministry to our church family, a love offering is being received to present to them at our Family Gathering on August 5th. Pastor Jathan and Melissa have accepted a call to be pastor of the Abounding Grace Church of Visalia, CA. They complete their ministry here and move to California in August. Please designate your gift clearly for the Newton’s – let’s send them on with a generous expression of our love and appreciation.

International Friendship at Purdue
The International Friendship Program (IFP) of Purdue University is an opportunity for community residents to share meals, holidays, local outings, or other events with a friend from abroad. The IFP matches these residents in a friendship relationship with Purdue international students. There are no legal, financial or housing obligations. The only requirement is the willingness to befriend a student interested in meeting you! Any questions? Please contact Marcus Hammack or Rachel Schmidt by phone at 496-7528 or by e-mail at friendship@purdue.edu.

Sunday, August 5th
Next Sunday, August 5th, will be a special Sunday for several reasons; you will want to be here and invite some friends to come with you. We return to our two service schedule of worship at 8 and 10:45 AM with our Family Bible School at 9:30 AM. During the ABF hour, there will be a report from the missions trips that went to Haiti and visited Bethesda Outreach in South Africa earlier this summer. In the morning services we will reflect on and remember our Savior at the Lord’s Supper and hear a special report from one of our missionaries. In our Family Gathering in the evening, we will celebrate together God’s goodness as we officially welcome Pastor Depue and his family; honor a faithful servant, Carmen Gilbert and bid farewell to the Newtons. We will also hear a brief update on our Grace Fund project, our five year plan to pay off our indebtedness and purchase ministry homes. You will want to come home from vacation early for this special day!

Combined ABF Next Sunday
Next Sunday, August 5th, during the ABF hour, there will be a report from the missions trips that went to Haiti and visited the Bethesda project in South Africa earlier this summer. All the ABF classes will meet in their rooms at 9:30 to share their classes’ start up information for the fall and then will gather in the auditorium for the two mission trip’s reports. Plan on coming and bringing a friend!

Dessert Fellowship
There will be a dessert fellowship following the August Family Gathering on August 5th. Please come fellowship with us and bring a favorite dessert to share.

Rachael Clark Bridal Shower Luncheon
Ladies, you are invited to join us for a bridal shower/ luncheon on Sunday, August 5th, 2007, at 12:30 PM, honoring Rachael Clark. Please RSVP to Joan Chapman or Chris Zimmerman. There will also be a sign up sheet at the Welcome Desk in the foyer.

Directory Update Underway!
In the coming months, the office staff will be putting out a new directory. If any of your information has changed since the last publication of the directory, please contact us (448-1620 or ksbc@ksbc.net) so that we can update your record. This is particularly important if you are a cell phone only family and would like to have your cell phone listed in the directory.
