Announcements for the week of July 15

Church Picnic
Please be sure to mark your calendars now for the church picnic on August 19th out at Ross Hills Park. We’re sure to have lots of games, food and good fellowship. Watch for more details coming soon.

Reminder
Don’t forget that our “normal” schedule of services will resume on August 5th. The normal schedule is as follows: 8:00 AM Worship Service; 9:30 AM Sunday School/Adult Bible Fellowships; 10:45 AM Worship Service.

Jubilee Run Volunteers Needed
There are three ways you can get involved with the Jubilee Run: first, come to the Ministry Center at 7 PM on Friday, July 20th to set up tables and displays, and assemble race packets. Second, help at the registration tables at 6:30 AM Saturday, July 21st. Or third, come at 7:30 AM Saturday to help direct racers, man water stations, time runners, and help with the Kids’ Fun Run. Sign up in the Institute classes or contact Dave Nannery (dnannery@ksbc.net).

Twin Lakes Campers
KSBC will provide transportation to and from Twin Lakes Camp for middle school campers attending July 16th-21st, and junior campers attending July 23rd- 28th. Parents, please contact the church office if your camper will take advantage of this service. Thanks!

Driver Needed
We need a driver to transport kids to and from camp on July 23rd and 28th. On July 23rd, we will depart at 9:15 AM, and on the 28th, you will need to leave here at 7:45 AM.

Seeker Group Starting
A small group study for those with basic questions about the Bible and faith will meet on Tuesday August 14th and 28th at 7PM at the home of Don and Sue Whipple. This ‘seekers’ group is targeted to help people who do not have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ but have questions or interest that may have been stirred up by friends or family members that have become followers of Jesus. This will be an informal time of studying the Gospel of John in the Bible. Plans for future group meetings will be determined at the first two meetings on the 14th and 28th. You can sign up or get information through the church office or by contacting the Whipples at don@ksbc.net.

Praying Together for the Ministries at KSBC
Join us Wednesday night at 6:30 PM to pray for the needs of our church and this week’s prayer focus, the Teen Leadership Conference.

High School Movie Night
High Schoolers– bring a lawn chair or blanket and come to an outdoor showing of “Night at the Museum” tonight at Pastor and Sue Whipple’s (318 Weeping Willow Ln. Lafayette). Gather for snacks at 8:30, and we’ll start up the movie as soon as it’s dark enough. Parents can pick up their teens at 11 PM.

A Word from the Peltiers
We have received word from Jim and Leslie Peltier and children that they have arrived in New Mexico safely. They would appreciate our prayers for the sale of their home in Lafayette. You can get their new address from the church office to drop them a note of encouragement.

Advisory Council
Packets are available in your boxes for the meeting this Tuesday.

Summer Institute Classes
It isn’t to late to join one of our 8:45 AM classes! Plan on attending next week.
